ITS Meeting: January 8, 2020

Hi all! In case you missed the last meeting, here's what we discussed:
-Fundraising for Addams Family! We are once again fundraising with Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, so start selling. The money you raise will go to show dues and any other ITS dues you have.
-If you want to help decorate or dance for the opening number at Thespies this year, then see our vice president, Ben Sleszynski, as soon as possible. Especially if you plan on participating in the opening number.
-Please send your points to the troupe secretary, Kendall Riley, as soon as you can. You need points in order to get inducted, so please get those in.
-We discussed literary competition and signed up for events. If you are interested in doing a domestic speech, comedic monologue, or a boys quartet, then please see the president, Bridget Ebdon, to sign up.
-Improv show is now March 26, 2020, so mark your calendars!

Congratulations to the very talented cast of The Addams Family!!! We are so excited for what you have to offer this show. We are looking forward to seeing you bring this musical to life! Remember to work hard, but have fun! Let's make this a great show.

ITS Meeting: October 9, 2019

In case you missed it!
-We voted for our Thespies theme this year and we will be doing Greek Mythology! So bring out your Togas and re-watch Hercules.
-We discussed information about ThesCon. We are registered!!! Also, if you would be interested in participating in the group I.E. please get in contact with our troupe president, Bridget Ebdon, as soon as possible. For any questions you have on further payments for ThesCon, please contact our troupe treasurer, Foster Hewitt, or Mr. Stephens.
-We established important dates for our upcoming Spring Musical The Addams Family. If you are interested in being apart of stage management (stage manager assistant stage manager), information will be due October 28. For more information see Mr. Stephens. If you are interested in auditioning, the auditions will be on November 4. You will need about 40 seconds of a song prepared and a minute long comedic monologue. Please do not pull your song or monologue from The Addams Family musical.

Radium Girls Update

Here are some quick updates for our One-Act!
-Show dues are right around the corner! Don't forget on September 27 actors need to pay $100 and tech needs to pay $75 to Mr. Stephens.
-Because of homecoming, the date for our Friday show has been changed. Instead of doing a show on October 18, we will be doing one on October 25!
-Off book for Act 1 is September 9, so please make sure you have your lines memorized. The stage managers are giving two lines and after that it's houses.
Keep up the great work guys! The play is really coming together.

In case you missed it!!!
-We came up with potential themes for our Thespies this year! We will be voting on the following themes at our next meeting:

Roaring 20's
Greek
Harry Potter
Egyptian
Disney
Western
50's
Steampunk
Disco
Nintendo

-We're fundraising!!! As of September 4-October 31, 2019 we will be selling Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. See Mr. Stephens for order forms and more information.
-Show Dues are due on September 27, 2019. That means $100 for actors and $75 for tech (with exception to ushers and concession helpers)
-Also on September 27, the first payment for Thescon is due. For more information talk to Mr. Stephens or our treasurer, Foster Hewitt, for more information.

One-Act Competition

Thank you so much for your patience and understanding as we went through this tumultuous time figuring out our One-Act!

-As you all know we had some trouble in getting our One-Act; however, we are proud to announce that we are officially doing The Radium Girls by D.W. Gregory.
-Now that we have our One-Act underway the cast list will be posted tomorrow in the theatre display case in the cafeteria.
-I am excited for this cast as there was so much amazing talent at callbacks! I know we are going to put on a great show.

Thank you again for your patience as we were figuring out our One-Act situation. Can't wait to see the talented people who will be bringing to life The Radium Girls. We will see you tomorrow!

One-Act Auditions

Thank you for all those who came out and auditioned today! So happy and excited to see all of the brand new faces!
- In case you missed it, Callbacks are tomorrow. The list will be posted in the theatre display case in the cafeteria. Please plan to stay until 5:30. Thank you!
-The cast list will be up on Wednesday, August, 14 in the same area as Callbacks.
-Also, please plan to stay after school on August 14 for the official first ITS meeting of the season. You do not want to miss out on this one!

Start of the Season Updates

With school back in session, we must begin preparing for the One-Act Competition being held, this year, at South Paulding High School.
-The audition date for our One-Act And They Dance Real Slow in Jackson, is on the calendar along with some other important dates.
-The audition contract and tech application as well as the actor and tech requirements are now posted under Forms.
-Our first troupe meeting of the season is August 14!

We hope to see many new and smiling faces as we kick off the season. See you soon!

New Year Updates!

Hey everyone! The new school year has finally arrived and here are some of the latest updates!

The audition date for our One-Act play And They Danced Real Slow in Jackson is posted! Check the calendar and Current Seasons tab and make sure to prepare accordingly. Lets bring our A-Game this year everybody and make this one of our best seasons yet! I know we are going to do great things together.
This year we are only doing our One-Act and a spring musical, but don't worry! We are still having our Improv Show and Variety Showcase.
This season we are trying something new with our points sheets. Instead, of getting a sheet from the secretary and turning it back in, points will be kept through Google Docs. More info to come as we get closer to the start of the new year.
