Raven Triplett: So Brighten Academy is doing the Aristocats the Musical. There are going to be work days on March 26th from 9-1 and April 2nd from 9-1 (if you can stay longer than that then great!). We will need as many people as we can to help build the set because it's a really big and intricate set. Dress rehearsals will be April 1st, 11th, and 12th. The show dates are April 13th-16th. It's cool if you can't make it to all of the show dates because they know that this weekend is busy for everyone but if you can make it please please please help out! Any type of help we can get would be very much appreciated. If anyone needs anymore information feel free to contact me on my phone or to email me (404-771-3838 or [email protected])

- Pretty good on the projection for the first scene, but make sure you keep the levels up. - Lights - I think there is a light HR that you have not been using for the Strauss office, that brightened it up quite a bit. Keep this! - Burt, please project and enunciate. Bite your words. - The table at the beginning between Charlie and Burt needs to be more DSL. It is not in the light enough. - Excellent transition from Burt scene to Strauss' office. - Excellent transition into Hospital scene. - Excellent Nurse. Thank you for waiting to say line once you are in the light. - Charlie, do you need a writing utensil? - Keep the ad lib Isaac. - Need more light on the bakery DS. - Actors in Bakery scene, you need to play this more DS. - Mrs. Donner, better on volume, but it is still difficult to hear you. - Strauss and Nemur; I love the wardrobe changes. - Nemur, we need more grey in your hair. - We need to see you struggle more to get to sleep Charlie. You need to be completely restless. - Excellent sound transition from "Remember..." - We need real slap sounds for all scenes. - When exiting, please make sure to exit in character. - Gena, I don't believe you are convinced about Charlie's progression. If you don't believe it, you need to act like you really don't believe it. - Mrs. Feldman, I love your entrance, it's fabulous! Make a bigger huff when coming in, and don't speak until you walk into the light. - Transitions are getting much better! - Tech, do not drop things on stage. - Nemur wait to stand until "that's excellent news". It's almost like you are offended that he burst into your office. You are talking down to him. - Charlie, you need to walk in front of the CR platform after Alice's line "there is nothing wrong" moving into you talking about the crying baby. - Pretty good slap! Make sure you guys practice the timing. - Excellent transition into Party Scene #1. - Charlie, the fall needs to be faster. Right now it's like you are planking the fall into a push-up. I have to admit, that is pretty impressive. You will need to teach me how to do this. - Burt, be careful with your phone. Mind you, it's an i-phone. - Does anyone have a "top toy" we can borrow for the Mother, Father, Charlie scene? - Charlie, you need to struggle more with your parent's names. - Norma, please move downstage more into the light when you say your last lines after crumpling up the paper. - Norma and Mother, be sure to step onto platform at the same time. - Much better on the Mrs. Donner & Charlie scene. I love the discoveries you guys are making. Still needs projection! - Once again, I love the changes in costumes for Strauss and Nemur. - Did entering from SL work better for your quick change Charlie? - Norma, you need to be on the platform right after Alice's last line. - Much better on the blackout transition to the convention scene. - Chairlady, better on projection! Make sure to project more. - We should not see movement in the curtain during the convention scene. - Convention scene went really well tonight! ACT II - Don't hesitate to start guys. Was everyone in places? - Mrs. Mooney, you need more gray in your hair. If we have really large glasses in props, you should wear them. Can you wear your hair more up in a bun? - Norma don't enter until "he has a barber shop in the Bronx" - Start playing the sound cue again right before Norma ends her line, so it will start on time without a delay. - What fell backstage? - Charlie, make sure that the suitcase isn't left on the CL platform. - I loved the knife scene tonight! Excellent urgency! - Young Charlie, make sure you are not late for your cue. - Strauss, are you listening to the sound cue on your Macbook? If so, don't close it until right after the sound cue finishes. - Nemur, during the cluster scene when Charlie enters, can you go ahead and stand to the left of the chair before you move behind it? - Note to audience: SILENCE YOUR CELL PHONES!!! - Charlie, aren't you supposed to be on the floor for the "sitting in the dark" scene? - Charlie, attempt to turn on your phone before talking into it. - Burt, you need to enter faster with Charlie's notes. - Strauss, I love how your character becomes more disheveled each night from working until 1:00 a.m. - Nemur and Strauss, your costumes match for the scene! - Nemur, is that a blue or black blazer? - Strauss, a little too much with "American Cheese" ad lib. - Olivia, you have excellent projection! All actors, you need to project like Olivia is projecting. - Charlie, I want you to collapse before being helped into the chair. - Norma, wait until you are in the light to start speaking your lines when you see Charlie. - I love the intensity of the Mother/Norma Scene. Norma, find your light downstage. I cannot see your face at all. Make sure that we understand what you are saying through the screaming though. - Tech, make sure that the table for Burt/Charlie is setup quicker. - Emma, try entering from SL on that last scene. Maybe, run into Burt as he is leaving, so he sees you and gives you the okay to come in. - Tech, be quicker with the table/coffee table scene change. - "Please God, don't take it all away", we need to see a physical transformation as you are coming down the steps of the platform to the coffee table Charlie. - Take your time at end Charlie. - Excellent Job Guys!!! This was the best one yet!!! |
